Current Team Members
Undergraduate Researcher, Department of Horticultural Sciences, Texas A&M University (Spring 2025-to-present)
Austin is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, with minors in Plant Breeding and Genetics. He will be starting his senior year in the fall of 2025.
Austin joined the team in Spring 2025. Austin's work in the Horticultural Crop Breeding Team include emasculation, pollen collection, crossing, plant care, and a growing number of other tasks.

Andrej completed his BS at Auburn University studying Agronomy and Soils. He completed his MS in Horticulture at Auburn University and his PhD in Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. Prior to joining Texas A&M University, he served at Oklahoma State University and Montana State University.
In 2025, Andrej joined the Department of Horticultural Sciences to establish the Horticultural Crop Breeding group at Texas A&M University with an emphasis on grapevine improvement. Andrej is driven to explore germplasm, establish efficient and objective selection methods, and deliver improved cultivars to regional growers, homeowners, and the global horticulture industry.
